Launching a Hospital Boat
In 2022, FAIR launched the Medical Ministry in the Amazon. The goal was to raise $25,000 to help bring medical care to some of the most remote communities in the Amazon region through the work that FAIR’s partner organization Medical Ministry International (MMI) does there. Since then, over $6,600 was raised, and has been put to good use in building a hospital boat! MMI recently celebrated the inauguration of their hospital boat, Maü Pata, which will transport medical teams to serve communities only accessible by the Amazon river. In the update, MMI also shared the following prayer requests for their work in the Amazon:
- Pray for spiritual breakthrough for patients, their families, participants, and those serving with Medical Ministry International.
- Pray that the love of Christ will be shown and that God will be glorified through our Project Teams in 2024.
- Pray for safety for teams traveling throughout the Amazon region.
