Edwin Karwur is based in Indonesia, where the majority of the population (94%+) do not know Christ. Christianity makes up less than 6% of the total population (source: Britannica), but Edwin envisions a future where his nation is saturated by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Edwin and his team are located in North Maluku, known as the Spice Islands. With a population of 1.4 million people, the island is home to 25 unreached people groups. Evangelical churches on the island deeply desire to reach these people with the Gospel. However, they do not have enough people or resources to do so on their own. This year, a team will travel to the area to provide encouragement, training, and resources to these churches. Through ongoing partnerships, their vision is to empower the local church to create a sustainable disciple-making movement that will spread throughout the region. 

The goal is to reach 6,000 people through outreach events and one-on-one evangelism, train 30 people to implement disciple-making movements, launch several house churches in four strategic locations, and hold two or three new training sessions annually in the coming years. This movement will enable the people of North Maluku to come to know the life-saving truth of the Gospel.
