Empowering the Nations - MENA
In a number of Middle East and North African (MENA) countries, Fellowship International missionaries Bechara and Roula Karkafi are labouring for the Kingdom. The husband-and-wife duo have spent years discipling locals with the vision to see a church of disciple-makers forming churches of more disciple-makers, all for God’s glory.
They share, “At the heart of a healthy church is disciple-making, and in order to see multiplication of disciples, every member of the church must be a multiplier.” In each of the seven countries they are currently serving, local ambassadors have been appointed to lead this movement of multiplication.
The Stronger Together Plus Project aims to train these ambassadors. Through six stages of training, ambassadors are equipped to be effective disciple-makers in their nation. In addition, they are empowered through training events such as conferences, monthly online meetings, and visits, as well as through financial support. All these efforts are to realise the Karkafis’ God-sized vision to see the MENA nations filled with disciple-makers.
The Karkafis hope that someday soon, they will be in 24 countries across the MENA region, empowering disciple-making churches to plant more disciple-making churches, all for God’s glory.
