Holistic Care of the Children
The goal of Love Trust is to share the Good News of Jesus through providing holistic care to children and families living in marginalized communities in Sri Lanka. This is accomplished in four villages in the Eastern and Central provinces through preschool, with the addition of after-school care and vocational training in three of the four locations. In each location, children and families are provided with holistic care consisting of high-quality education and vocational training, nutritional supports, support and partnership for impoverished families to invest in the future education of their children, and above all, spiritual care and access to the hope of the Gospel. We recently introduced a school anthem that is sung as part of the daily opening and prayer time, as well as other celebrations and assemblies. It's a great way to engage small children in thanking God and reminding them of His love for them. Something that we can never hear often enough!

2024 Mission Team Visit
Over the course of four weeks, Fellowship International missionary Ronald Jeyaseelan and a mission team from Canada visited the four Love Trust ministry sites and provided encouragement and training to local Christian pastors and leaders. These visits were full of many different kinds of activities, such as teaching the children; training for staff; delivering Vacation Bible School programs; and distributing bank savings books and school supplies to the children, new clothes for widows and widowers, and gifts for the teaching staff. The team also attended graduation ceremonies for the preschool and sewing classes, provided a community meal for the widows and widowers, and celebrated the launch of a new computer class at the Valathapity location.
