Congo Moto Taxi

PROJECT #: 3296

The D.R. Congo ranks third in the list of countries in the world with the highest percentage of those living in extreme poverty. Currently 77% of D. R. Congo’s 86 million people find themselves in that heartbreaking category. That translates to over 66 million people! In Kinshasa, 85% of people work under the informal economy, which means they must find something to do or sell in order to survive. The purchase of a small motorcycle will allow an individual to work as a taxi man. Along with the dignity that work generates, this will be a viable means to provide for a family in need.
