Lebanon Medical Care

PROJECT #: 3411

Resources:

The people of Lebanon are resilient. Since 2011, their country has supported millions of Syrian refugees while their own economy struggled before experiencing one of the world’s greatest economic crashes in the past 200 years. Despite these struggles, the church continues to have much freedom to help people to know Jesus and experience the support and love of Christians.

As the economic struggles continue in Lebanon, it has become nearly impossible for people to find the basic medical supplies that they need for their families. Imagine getting a prescription from your doctor but then learning that all of the local pharmacists are not able to sell you that important medicine? This is a regular occurrence for nearly all Lebanese citizens and Syrian refugees.

As the medical needs of their community regularly increase, Fellowship International missionaries, Bechara and Roula Karkafi, and their partners are responding. They have established a program in partnership with a local pharmacist and Lebanese churches that is providing safe medical supplies to people with prescriptions from their doctors and they need your support.

Would you prayerfully consider how you can help ensure this program is able to meet the huge demand for medical supplies? Because this is a long-term need, please consider giving a monthly or one-time gift.

How you can pray:

  • Pray that those in need will receive the medical supplies to address their health concerns.
  • Pray that the staff who run this program will have significant opportunities to introduce people to the love of Jesus.

Thank you for considering how the Lord would have you respond to the needs of the people in Lebanon.
